Better late than never!!

I know iv'e missed a couple of weeks, but i do have a great excuse - i promise!
My camera died!! Yep the heart and soul of my business has been sent away to Canon to see if they can revive her (for a reasonable price i might add) So while waiting for her to be fixed i went and bought a new one!!
Cos that's what you do when you don't have one and your desperate to take more pics.... right?
Well i did and a brand spankin new 5D MKII has now called my place its home!!!
Excited MUCH!!!!!!!!

Anyway i wont bore you with that anymore, last Sunday our little man turned 4!! Can you believe it, we have a 4 year old and next year he is off to school!! Oh the years have flown :(

So here he is in the lead up to his birthday week...

He got a brand new motorbike (with training wheels) for his birthday - when we got home (it's stored at Anton's parents place as i don't want him to nag me to go on it every 5 mins of the day) he decided to dress in his 'gear' as he calls it and just hang around the house LOL!!!

and now it's party time - McDonalds style!!! Thanks to Linda for making his awesome cake!!!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 17

Today was IKEA day, and apparently it was a few of my friends IKEA day as well!

Kyler went in the play area for the first time and loved it “can we come back here that was fun”

Ummmm…. let me think!!! Of course – then i can shop in peace!

Anyway, this shot is what happens at the end of everyday, when daddy comes home and parks in the driveway the boys run into the lounge and leap onto the couch so they can welcome him home and of course it’s high ’5′s on the window too – hence it is always grubby and they have broken the mesh already lol!!!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 15 & 16

I know, i’ve missed a day!! Thats what happens when you have a busy weekend!

This weekend we’ve had kids birthday parties and a Christening…. not just any Christening but the kind of one where WE are the Godparents!! Yeah lucky i know!

So it was a wonderful weekend with lots of laughs, playtime and plenty of food and of course we gained a Goddaughter!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 14

Well it was a busy day today, i accomplished quite a bit, including setting up this personal blog in which to write about my family and record history.

I just love it, taking photos, looking back on them and smiling about the memories!

Today i headed out to Spotlight to finish gathering bits for my son's 4th birthday party which is in 2 weeks.

I go over the top with details for my boys parties. I just love the little details. People expect the details from me. Lucky i don't have a girl or it would just be so over the top sickly! Lucky for my bank balance too!

These pics are a little boring, not very creative as iv’e seen it posted lots, but just had to do it for myself anyway!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 13

Every hour we realise there is more devastation in QLD/NSW than we ever thought possible.

Today it was mine (& a few girlfriends) turn to try and give back.

We loaded up my station wagon full to the brim with toys, clothes, books etc that we had found around our home. 90%of what we donated was brand new.

My bestie is the treasurer for the Teddy Love Club Charity and we asked them if they had any spare bear’s we could also donate to the QLD Flood Appeal. They kindly agreed and so along with our youngest kiddies, we went to their storage place and sorted thru hundreds of bears to find those that we could use.

As you can see, to try and mark the moment with an awesome photo, my little man was not happy to be put in a pile of bears and luckily for him his cousin Charli was there to give him a big kiss and cuddle to re-assure him!

And the last piccy is us loaded in the car ready to go to the drop off point at U-Store-It!!

Happy campers. We have done our bit. For now

Busy busy busy day today, i accomplished so much!

Lots of things happening here, can’t wait to tell you all about it!

This pic is of my girlfriend’s little munchkin, her and her big sisters dragged all the dining room chairs outside and lined them up in pairs behind each other, we caught them singing “the wheels on the bus go round and round…….” Well the older ones were singling, she was being a very well behaved little passenger!!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 9

Im surprised nothing more serious has happened sooner… don’t get me wrong i dont want anything to happen its just my eldest is the most active little man on this planet! He could ride a bike with no training wheels from 2 1/2 and at almost 4 he does jumps, skids, tricks and rides really fast! He is an adrenalin junky already and im scared for the future!!!

Needless to say he was merely running with no shoes on when he cracked his baby toe on a wooden post and now he has no nail! Small on the scale of things but he went into ‘wimp’ mode that’s for sure!

Head in a towel so he didn’t have to see the blood and then it was head in the bucket “im gonna be sick mummy i don’t like blood”

He ain’t gonna be a doctor thats for sure… maybe a professional BMX rider instead!!!

(these are black and white and after we washed his foot – im sure there are many out there who are queazy with blood and a dangling nail!)

Today my little man went for a play date with our God-daughter Charli, they both play so well together these days now that Ethan is older. Charli is 7 months older than Ethan and yet they are only about and inch in height differece, they just look so cute together!

It’s hot…. very HOT!!

and when you’ve got a list of things you want to get done on your ‘break’ it doesn’t matter what temperature it is… it’s just got to be done! My hubby (on the plank) is a work horse, he is so dedicated to us, his family, that he takes time off over the xmas break to continue renovating our home! I mean we swim everyday with the kids and muck around, but from early in the morning he is out there, in the heat, working!

Lucky me got new ones delivered today! Miele… im in LOVE!!!

The truck came nice and early and my big boy along with the neighbours boy were out the front mucking around!

“A truck is out the front of our place mummy!” “What’s he got in there” is what they said!!

I replied… “A present for ME, Santa forgot to leave mine!!”

January 2011 - Photo a Day 4

We’ve had a busy day indeed, we headed out early this morning to check out paving/water feature/retaining wall companies to research products and prices for our garden… we are full steam ahead to finish it asap so while on holidays this week i thought we should head out together and suss some stuff out!

The pay off with the boys coming was we promissed them (not that Ethan knew!) that we would go to the skate park at Semaphore afterwards, have some lunch, an icecream and lots of fun! It worked, Kyler was on his best behaviour and although little E is teething, he was pretty happy to be out playing too!

After Kyler’s very long sleep yesterday – he did not fall asleep till about 10pm last night which is totally not happening tonight!! But Ethan, like everyday before this, had his afternoon nap, and today it was on the couch!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 3

Well it was on the cards for a few days now, my eldest, who is turning 4 this month, has been so excited with these past couple of weeks, Christmas, New Year and spending some good quality time with daddy home, it just got the better of him today.

This little (big) man has not slept in the arvo for months, but today he actually asked to be put to bed, i nearly fell off my chair!

I love it how they start to become aware of their feelings and let you know and he was certainly tired! He followed up his remark on “i want to have a nap mummy” with “Can i swim in the pool when i wake up?” Too cute he is, of course you can mate (because you will be so worn out fromt he swim you will still go to bed on time tonight !!!) I HOPE!!!

Well we are in full swing on our house renovations!

So our family is either swimming in the pool or renovating the house! (and usually both most days!)

Today my hubby and a mate were rendering the side fence they built last week, Anton is just the best husband, using his xmas holidays to continue working on our ‘never ending’ project home

January 2011 - Photo a Day 1

Well its here people, a new fresh year!

This year brings many new exciting things for me and my family’s life as well as my Photography world.

It’s true what they say – a Builder’s home is never finished – but i can personally say (as my hubby is a builder) that all good things come to those that wait. Iv’e waited 8 years for an extension on my very old bluestone villa and these past few weeks i have seen some big things happening round’ere! I think he finally has the bug to get going with it and a taste for the entertaining life that awaits us!

So with our new pool we had put in over winter, our daily routine (when its warm enough) is up and eat some brekky and then in the pool by 8:30am!! Today was no different except we fired up the BBQ and the neighbour’s boy came over too.

Lots happening round here and i can’t wait to share with you all, today’s pic is of my very patient little man, the older boys were swimming and he was just happy to watch from the sideline (eating of course 

I hope you all had a fabulous night last night and i can’t wait to let you in on some big secrets happening with my business!

It's my birthday!

WOW, has it really  been 2 weeks since my last blog post?? It has been a full on 2 weeks let me tell you!

After my Newcastle trip and trying to get onto all the editing and replying to emails we had a death in the family  My husband’s Lolo over in the Philippines passed away, he was his last grandparent on both sides of his family and he hadn’t seen him in 13 years.

Time just flies people, take the time while you can to hug those around you, tell them you love them and make the most of everyday 

So my husband, along with his aunties and other cousins around Australia and New Zealand, jumped on a plane last Friday to visit his families home… back home.

I love my family with all my heart and i have never been away from Anton this long in the 13 years we have been together, we have talked on the phone and messaged each other like giddy teenagers and i am just loving it, the boys and i miss him so much but we are happy knowing he is spending time with his family and reminiscing on the years gone by when they used to visit the Philippines every few years! Oh the stories they tell are hilarious!

Anyway today is my birthday, im 31, i hate to admit it but i do feel old now and somewhat ‘grown up’ but i have to say i have had the best life so far and spending the last 13 years with Anton has been the best part of it.

I love you babe with all my heart xxx

(Shoes… and more shoes!! Yesterday i splurged and bought myself a new pair of slip-on Rockports.. I L.O.V.E these shoes!!! and today i am taking my youngest boy into the city to buy me a new pair of black wedge high heels!! Yes girls im buying me some height!!!)
