Better late than never!!

I know iv'e missed a couple of weeks, but i do have a great excuse - i promise!
My camera died!! Yep the heart and soul of my business has been sent away to Canon to see if they can revive her (for a reasonable price i might add) So while waiting for her to be fixed i went and bought a new one!!
Cos that's what you do when you don't have one and your desperate to take more pics.... right?
Well i did and a brand spankin new 5D MKII has now called my place its home!!!
Excited MUCH!!!!!!!!

Anyway i wont bore you with that anymore, last Sunday our little man turned 4!! Can you believe it, we have a 4 year old and next year he is off to school!! Oh the years have flown :(

So here he is in the lead up to his birthday week...

He got a brand new motorbike (with training wheels) for his birthday - when we got home (it's stored at Anton's parents place as i don't want him to nag me to go on it every 5 mins of the day) he decided to dress in his 'gear' as he calls it and just hang around the house LOL!!!

and now it's party time - McDonalds style!!! Thanks to Linda for making his awesome cake!!!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 17

Today was IKEA day, and apparently it was a few of my friends IKEA day as well!

Kyler went in the play area for the first time and loved it “can we come back here that was fun”

Ummmm…. let me think!!! Of course – then i can shop in peace!

Anyway, this shot is what happens at the end of everyday, when daddy comes home and parks in the driveway the boys run into the lounge and leap onto the couch so they can welcome him home and of course it’s high ’5′s on the window too – hence it is always grubby and they have broken the mesh already lol!!!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 15 & 16

I know, i’ve missed a day!! Thats what happens when you have a busy weekend!

This weekend we’ve had kids birthday parties and a Christening…. not just any Christening but the kind of one where WE are the Godparents!! Yeah lucky i know!

So it was a wonderful weekend with lots of laughs, playtime and plenty of food and of course we gained a Goddaughter!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 14

Well it was a busy day today, i accomplished quite a bit, including setting up this personal blog in which to write about my family and record history.

I just love it, taking photos, looking back on them and smiling about the memories!

Today i headed out to Spotlight to finish gathering bits for my son's 4th birthday party which is in 2 weeks.

I go over the top with details for my boys parties. I just love the little details. People expect the details from me. Lucky i don't have a girl or it would just be so over the top sickly! Lucky for my bank balance too!

These pics are a little boring, not very creative as iv’e seen it posted lots, but just had to do it for myself anyway!

Tomorrow will be better i promise!!

January 2011 - Photo a Day 13

Every hour we realise there is more devastation in QLD/NSW than we ever thought possible.

Today it was mine (& a few girlfriends) turn to try and give back.

We loaded up my station wagon full to the brim with toys, clothes, books etc that we had found around our home. 90%of what we donated was brand new.

My bestie is the treasurer for the Teddy Love Club Charity and we asked them if they had any spare bear’s we could also donate to the QLD Flood Appeal. They kindly agreed and so along with our youngest kiddies, we went to their storage place and sorted thru hundreds of bears to find those that we could use.

As you can see, to try and mark the moment with an awesome photo, my little man was not happy to be put in a pile of bears and luckily for him his cousin Charli was there to give him a big kiss and cuddle to re-assure him!

And the last piccy is us loaded in the car ready to go to the drop off point at U-Store-It!!

Happy campers. We have done our bit. For now

Busy busy busy day today, i accomplished so much!

Lots of things happening here, can’t wait to tell you all about it!

This pic is of my girlfriend’s little munchkin, her and her big sisters dragged all the dining room chairs outside and lined them up in pairs behind each other, we caught them singing “the wheels on the bus go round and round…….” Well the older ones were singling, she was being a very well behaved little passenger!!
